Melvin Stelten

The West Duluth Business Club (WDBC) holds an annual memorial and candlelight vigil in honor of Melvin Stelten at Wesley Residence (corner of 56th Ave. West and Grand Ave.) every January 20th from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Melvin Stelten was a cherished member of our community, spending the last nine years of his life at Wesley Assisted Living. Known for his kind heart and playful spirit, Melvin was a paragon of community service. He had a deep love for the outdoors and could often be seen walking miles each day throughout West Duluth, helping to keep the area clean and returning stray grocery carts to their rightful businesses. Tragically, Melvin passed away on January 20, 2016, following an accident while crossing Grand Ave.

The WDBC honors Melvin's remarkable contributions to our community with this annual memorial. We invite the public to join us in remembering and celebrating his legacy.
